This is your final task in the application process. While successful completion of this final task does not guarantee that you will be selected as a candidate, it is what makes the Career Astronaut Competition possible. Community Sponsorship engagement helps to raise awareness about STEM and Space exploration. Together we open the doors of opportunity by inviting small business owners to get involved with a $500 one-time sponsorship. Whether you’re helping to raise awareness for breast cancer, animal adoption, or environmental impact, community sponsorship’s play a vital role. Community Sponsorship: Connect with the business community, share your experiences and rally support. Please do not use social media for this task.
- Making a list of business owners that you would like to engage and request a 5-minute meeting with each of them.
- During your meeting, share your story with them. Let them know that you are at the final stage of the Career Astronaut application process and that you need their support. Show them your Social Media likes and number of views to help them see the impact you’ve already made. There are two ways to successfully complete this task:
a) Invite the business owner to become a sponsor or
b) You can be the sponsor on behalf of the business you select. You will need their permission because their business name will be acknowledged on the AdvancingX sponsorship page. - After the business owner agrees to either accept your sponsorship, become the sponsor or split the sponsorship with you, use the following link to complete the sponsorship process: https://advancingx.com/product/career-astronaut-sponsorship/
